[platform-swt-dev] Eclipse for MacOS X Cocoa?

Hi,

Looking at the downloads I notice that the MacOS X version of
Eclipse is a Carbon build. Given that Apple is providing Java
objects for accessing the Cocoa API, would it not be better
to use Cocoa instead? Are there any advantages to using Carbon,
especially given that MacOS 9.x does not support Java 1.2, and
up?
