Eclipse was unable to find classes in any of the jars, so I used 'jar' 
to attempt to uncompress the jars.  jar complained that the lengths of 
the jar I was decompressing was too short or it would say 
'java.util.zip.ZipException: oversubscribed literal/length tree'

It was all of them.

No, it was a set from turbine plus some extras.

I should add that the previous build of eclipse I was using didn't have 
this problem. However, since then I have upgraded to Jaguar, rebuilt 
CVS (1.11.2) because X's default is 1.10 which has problems, and 
changed eclipse.

I can checkout from cvs on the command line without corruption trouble.
