We're just getting started. A couple of people on the group have been doing some experimenting. If you check the mailing list archive you can see what they've been up to. There are also drops of their source code on the developer's page

dev.html).

There has been an interesting discussion of the merits of Cocoa versus Carbon with JDirect versus Carbon with straight JNI. So far, the most promising strategy looks to be Carbon+JNI.
