Sorry, what I mean is I never tried them, if you tried, can you send a sample code? Especially I am interested in using GridLayout and use of Tool Bar. In SWING I would set toobar to the north of my layout. How to do a similar kind of thing in Eclipse Layouts

Do you mean you don't like the Eclipse toolbars?  If so, could you please
tell us what is it that you dislike about them?

As to the buttons bulging out - did you try the SWT.FLAT style?
