RE: [platform-swt-dev] Mac OS X Port

I *think* SWT doesn't even require Java 1.2.  I'm basing this on the fact that the VAME AWT support is mostly just at the 1.1 level and runs fine on top of SWT.  I could be mistaken though, since I don't believe I've used SWT with a 1.1 JCL.

Is another benefit of using Carbon that a "classic" Mac Java 1.1.x port of
SWT could be done? Or is there some Java 1.3-only bits in SWT? I think
classic Mac compatibility is important as migration to OS X will happen very
slowly in end-user-land.

Cheers,
-Mike
