This might be caused by https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=509234.

The bundle might need an update to Java 8 BREE.

The build failed due to compilation error in platform.ui. But the strange part is the file on which error is reported was modified last on Dec 21, 2016. I will try a rebuild to make sure this problem is genuine. I raised a bug Bug 510330 - I20170111-2000 build failed with compilation errors to track this issue
