Re: [platform-releng-dev] Changing M-build to 5 AM (Eastern) on Wednesdays, if no objections

After talking to Sravan, 5 AM (Eastern) would be a better time to start the build so he (and others in India) will "be around" when it finishes (or fails). (At 5 AM "here" it's 1:30 PM "there").

Ultimately we do want to get to the root cause of bug 497432 but some of our build times may move (or stay moved) for our "world wide" audience.

The last three M-builds (that started at 10 AM on Wednesday's) died with the mysterious "<pid> killed" message.

See

Bug 497432- Is Linux killing our Releng HIPP processes?

These builds always work when we reschedule them for later in the afternoon, so it seems likely there is some interference with some other job or "state of the infrastructure".

One of the webmasters has suggested (in bug 497432) that we try running it later in the day to rule out interference from a few jobs that run at similar times.
If still occurs, then probably not related to interference from those jobs.

If there are no objections, I'd like to move the M-builds to noon on Wednesday's. Another alternative is to go earlier, such as 6 AM, but then some unit tests will be running during that "critical period" so seems better, to me, to first try going later.

I will assume noon is ok unless I hear otherwise.

Thanks,
