[platform-releng-dev] Rebuild for Mars.2 RC2 planned for Thursday night

As discussed in bug
486616 comment 10 we will have
a rebuild after the "test/verification" day for Mars.2 RC2. The
"known reason" is to correct as many versioning problems as possible
(as detailed in bug 486616).

The reason we will have it at "end
of day" on Thursday (for us on East Coast of US :) is to allow time
for teams to find unrelated regressions and provide fixes if any found.

Whether or not we need a rebuild for
M5 I think is open for discussion. On the one hand it is "only"
a milestone, but on the other hand, for some versions to "go down"
when compared to maintenance release is pretty bad. So, I am game if committers
can get in enough fixes (that are not fixed in tonight's 8 PM build).  (See
bug 486662). I have already fixed the two cases
of 'features' that "went down" in versioning (Help and SDK Examples)
but that still leaves a number of bundles, and there might be more, once
maintenance stream is fixed with increments. The current known list is
as pasted below.
