From a quick, partial, local build, reverting
the "eclipse-run" repo to the M1 level at at least allows the
build to work. 
I've scheduled another N-build for 23:15
(Eastern) just to confirm that works.  I'll use 

Bug 478987- update eclipserun-repo to M2, to build M3 

to track the ultimate goal of updating the repo, and we
can use 

Bug
478984- build fails during "eclipse-run"
task (starting N2015 1005-2000)

to investigate the reasons for failing.

I've opened bug the following bug to
track this issue: 

Bug
478984- build fails during "eclipse-run"
task (starting N2015 1005-2000) 

The bug is a bit rambling (it is Sunday after all :) but can be summarized
as my best guess at the moment, is that I updated some things, 
that reveal some issues with some other updates people have made for M2,
which lead to a change in low-level behavior during startup of minimal
bundles. 

But, just a guess, so far.
