I have at least tracked down the problem ... but no
idea of the solution ... and is not related to any changes in our 
code ... but, I think may have being "hidden"
previously, by some aspect of the build, 
or more likely reference repositories?

- org.eclipse.e4.ui.swt.gtk specifies its host with "qualifier"


While we will still do some things towards bug 469765,
I think we are "lucky" to find this
issue now, during the beginning of the transition,
so would like to fix it in some way, rather
than risk it becoming hidden, again.
