[platform-releng-dev] Weirdness on Windows test machine last few nights ...

Webmasters,

First, thanks for letting us know you restarted Hudson the other day! :)

But since then, we've had many problems with our "UI Tests" not finishing normally on the Windows test machine, because they hit "out of handles" exceptions. To be honest, I don't know if something changed recently in our code or ... my guess ... that machine needs to be rebooted (or, processes cleaned up)? Perhaps it has a lot of "hung tests" from previous runs still consuming resources? As I understand it, "restarting Hudson" does not necessarily mean "restarting Windows" ... but, in either case something appears wrong with it. Or else there really is a newly introduced problem with our Windows UI code!?

Would appreciate a reboot, and then if we still have trouble, we will at least have ruled out that variable.

I have opened a bug, in case an extended discussion needs to take place, or if you want to document its state ... perhaps it's waiting for a reboot after an automatic Windows update?

SWT Team, please comment in bug if in fact you have (or have not) changed anything recently that might cause this.

Thank you very much,
