Re: [platform-releng-dev] Rebuild request

Many of the tests are failing because of the removal of old style plugin support.  Others in equinox.p2.tests and pde.build.tests need more investigation.

core.test.resources failures - Old style plugins in tests
  - https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=411600
    6 of the failures account for this.  Not sure on the extra failure on Windows

equinox.p2.tests

 - There are 6 other failures that I need help with to figure out.

pde.api.tools.tests

pde.build.tests
 - Need to investigate.  Some tests may be failing because of old style plugins

osgi.tests
  - I need to disable 2 test that fail since they are no long valid.  I will do that for the next build.

Sorry for lack of communication. Tom and I are on it. The p2 and resource tests are all likely caused by the Equinox changes. I don't know about the PDE failures but maybe also related. Here is the bug, which I will update now with more recent status:

So, is it clear to committers who needs to do what to fix remaining failures? Have bugs been open?

I would like to request an extra N-build today whenever possible. I have pushed a fix for the p2 test problems. There are still a couple of failures but this should enable the bulk of the tests to run.

Note that this is the first build with the new framework implementation for Luna.

All tests will fail until we get p2 bug https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=411046 sorted out and released.  This fix is needed in order to allow the test harness to properly be provisioned to the testing target by p2.

David, you probably will want to abandon the test execution for this build.
