David, you nailed it.

While our rule is to do rebuilds on
request (only) on Thursday, such rebuilds should only be requested for
fixing very bad bugs or absolutely required changes. The rebuild request
or the bug must make it clear to the community, that it is indeed such
a case. So, if in doubt, don't hesitate to ask for more information before
you actually execute the rebuild.

In case other teams intend to jump on
the next train/rebuild, please announce the bug on this list.

I've scheduled a rebuild for 8 AM Thursday
(5/2) ... in case others need to participate or comment. 

But, I will add ... keeping in mind I am (still) the "new guy"
here ... and basically here to do whatever you committers want ... so if
I am out of line for suggesting it, just ignore me ... but I was surprised
the bugzilla entry didn't say more. 

I would have expected the bug to mention more about why it was important
to rebuild for M7 (why the benefit was worth the risk) ... why it could
not wait until RC1 ... give a link to the Git commit ... etc. 

And don't get me wrong, I do not doubt that its important ... and, I can
pretty much imagine the reason why we should not wait ... but, seems best
if you were more explicit about it.

Demonstrating once again that if you build often enough, eventually one
of them will complete. :) 

Now we'll see if the Unit tests do! 

But, being optimistic they will, I have created the "sign off page"
for M7 at

Please sign-off by EOD Thursday ... or, comment in the bug when you expect
to finish final verification. 

Rebuilds upon request ... according to usual "ramp down" rules.
