Re: [platform-releng-dev] [eclipse-build]Build I20100105-1537 (Timestamp: 201001051537):Automated JUnit testing complete. Test failures/errors occurred.

The test checks that the target platform can work with a feature.  We chose JDT because 1) JDT looked quite stable at the time, before the Junit changes  2) The PDE committers don't typically have JDT plug-ins/feature in their workspaces which we were concerned could affect locally run tests  3) It is a real, actively used feature in targets, which we thought might be a more effective test than creating our own feature.

I've updated our tests for the current bundle shape, but I will look into using some alternative data.

Is there any way to make this test not sensitive to the current shape of the JDT feature? I assume the point of the test isn't to catch accidental changes to the shape of the JDT feature, but to test some functionality of PDE. Can the test run on some static test data instead? Or, perhaps test on the PDE feature instead of JDT so you at least know when the feature is going to change and that your test needs updating?

PDE UI Tests failed because the JDT feature was modified to remove org.junit4 source.  We will update our tests.

Build is still good from our perspective.
