I've fixed the /tmp directories on the
test machines. I reran the core.tests resources tests and they all passed.

Also, I've opened a bug with core.resources
because it seems that there are a lot of files in the /tmp directory that
aren't deleted with every build.

The jdt.compiler.apt tests and jdt.compiler.tools
tests passed when I reran them.

Yes, the core.resources and org.eclipse.update test failures seem to be
caused by this. The tests don't seem to have write access to the temp directory
(/tmp on Linux and /private/tmp/ on Mac).

Some of the test failures appear to be from the fact that the build user
couldn't delete some of the artifacts on the test machine.

I changed the build user to a new uid yesterday along with switching the
build from using pserver to ssh to check out code.  I'll fix the permissions
errors on the test machine.
