Hi Kim,
Glad to hear. TestNG's distributed testing as well as all of the parameterization and dependency stuff is way more sophisticated and I find it a lot easier to use. As I'm sure you're aware, existing JUnit tests can also be supported. (Only minus and its a small one is that the UI plugin isn't nearly as nice.)And sorry but I'm feeling a little slow today.. I meant that I have an incubation project proposal out (not approved but I'd like to have things conforming to Eclipse build process in any case). So releng would be the appropriate place?
thanks,
Miles

I'd love to have built in facilities in the testing framework for distribution of tests on slave machines such as TestNG provides. I would suggest opening a bug against the Dash project under common builder https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/enter_bug.cgi?product=Dash If this is specific to the Eclipse project, please open a bug against Eclipse->Platform->Releng Kim Hi all, I've been using TestNG more and more for my unit testing (it has really nice features to support dynamic testing and it supports parallel testing which is really helpful for larger test sets), and as I have a project that might be transitioning here I'm wondering if there has been any thought to supporting that for automated testing? If this isn't the right list for this kind of question, please let me know. thanks, Miles _______________________________________________ platform-releng-dev mailing list platform-releng-dev@xxxxxxxxxxx https://dev.eclipse.org/mailman/listinfo/platform-releng-dev _______________________________________________ platform-releng-dev mailing list platform-releng-dev@xxxxxxxxxxx https://dev.eclipse.org/mailman/listinfo/platform-releng-dev
