Looking at a recent test run, it appears
that the windows tests now take almost 10 hours to run.  Wow. Everyone
really has been busy writing tests :-)

Given that that yesterday we ran an
N, M and I build it's easy to see how three 10 hour test runs can queue
up and delay sending the results to the mailing list.

We have new machines being configured
for  to our lab to replace the existing (old and very slow) ones.
I addition, Sonia and I are working on running  the tests in parallel
over multiple machines.  However, this will require a lot of testing
time to implement.  

In the interim, since we are waiting
for another performance machine to be configured before I can run performance
tests, I've changed the build scripts to run the 1.5 windows tests on one
of the new machines, instead of the very old machine they are running on
now.

It took just over 27 hours to get the test results from
this build and I've noticed the same thing with the nightly builds. Is
there something that we can do which would enable us to get the test results
earlier and fix them before the next day's build? As it stands now there
is a 2 day turn-around time for build test failures being fixed.
