This looks like a timing issue. JobManager reports a blockage to
ProgressMonitorDialog#ProgressMonitor
which is one of its listener.
ProgressMonitor tries to update ProgressMonitorDialog which is for some
reason either not opened yet or closed already.
The question is why it happens. I would need a comment from UI team.
Probably we would need more meaningful
stacktrace.

The patch attached to bug 246373 looks like a fix that catches an invalid
*use* of JFace, not a problem that is caused by JFace.
Do we actually know why the problem is intermittently happening?
