Re: [platform-releng-dev] "release" from cvs question

Hi Matthew

The Source Build (Source in .zip) drop includes the source required to build eclipse locally without a cvs checkout. For instance
http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/I20060228-1207/download.php?dropFile=eclipse-sourceBuild-srcIncluded-I20060228-1207.zip

The source build scripts are stored the /cvsroot/eclipse directory of the dev.eclipse.org cvs repository under

org.eclipse.releng.eclipsebuilder/sdk/srcBuild

More platform releng information is available in this FAQ
http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Platform-releng-faq

[platform-releng-dev] "release" from cvs question

I apologize if this is not the proper forum for this question.

Is there any concept of building a nightly eclipse "release" from CVS
without involving a CVS export?

Related to that question, are the buildScripts (as found in
eclipse-sourceBuild-srcFetch-3.2M5a.zip) housed in CVS somewhere?

I'm trying to get up to speed on the eclipse build system and appreciate
any input or suggestions.

 Thanks muchly,
