I run with -clean as well. I have managed
to get everything to recompile without error now so it must have been a
case of corrupted state somewhere.

I've been using it for a couple of hours, without
any problems.  I have 
Platfom UI and all prerequisites loaded from CVS, and typically run with
-clean.

Has anyone tried this build? I tried it and now most of my plugins will
not compile without errors (I have logged bug 
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=96847 to track this).
