Actually, to be precise, what we actually did was:
- renamed newapi to util
- realized that although that should be OK for HEAD, it would likely cause
problems if someone was to load and build an earlier version, without the
corresponding changes in other packages
- copied util back to newapi
- deleted the contents of newapi via Eclipse and released that to HEAD
So the permissions of the newapi directory could have been affected (we
did this using Stefan's log-in).
But I still don't understand why it is only failing now. If it was a
problem with the permissions, why didn't it fail when we first made the
change?

Over a week ago (May 4), we copied org.eclipse.ui.workbench/Eclipse
UI/org/eclipse/ui/internal/presentations/newapi to "util", directly in the
CVS repository (i.e. by ssh'ing in), then the newapi contents was deleted
in HEAD via Eclipse.
The intent was to rename a package without losing version history.
We've been through several builds in this state, with no problems until
now.
Not sure what has changed.
Denis, any ideas?

It appears the build failed due to one of org.eclipse.compare prerequisite
plug-ins not getting exported from cvs (org.eclipse.ui.workbench):
[cvs] cvs [export aborted]: could not chdir to newapi: Permission denied
I cannot reproduce the problem now, we have re-started the build.
Webmaster, can you shed some light on the source of the problem?
