The swt mailing list is probably your best bet for getting in touch with the developers involved in the Mac port of Eclipse.

Thanks for your efforts.  I'm not sure I understand what
you mean by a "self-hosting" environment, but I suspect
you mean building Eclipse with Eclipse.

My objective is to use Eclipse for Java development on
the Mac, and to that end I'm more than willing to help
out with the porting.  I was not able to find any
contact information for getting involved with the port.
The only information regarding the port at eclipse.org
suggested sending issues to this list.

If there's any way I can help investigate/resolve
the build issues, and more to the point, issues with
the port, please let me know.  I'm an experienced
developer, and I'm anxious to help!
