Infocenter search scope (otherwise known as working sets) is provided for
3.0M1 https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=37703.
User can bookmark any document using support provided by the browser (no
bookmarks view displayed by in infocenter). Upon opening a
bookmark/favorite infocenter will display document surrounded by help UI
frames. If you envision a different solution, please open a feature
request.
All of the bugs and features for help are always considered when
prioritizing 3.0 work. Bugs with "[plan item]" in summary correspond to
items in Eclipse 3.0 plan

rest of bugs targeted for release 3.0 (with milestone field set to 3.0x)
are either already fixed or are considered important candidates by help
team to be fixed by 3.0. The list is dynamic, and bugs are added or even
removed from targeted for 3.0 list, as we progress through development
cycle.
2.1.x are maintenance releases and it is unlikely that minor bugs or
features are delivered with them. Usually these bugs are resolved in next
minor or major release. If more critical problem is discovered then a
maintenance release is build. So fare there has been no official word
regarding 2.1.2 release (and no 2.1.2 target in bugzilla) but fixes for

Hi,
A few months ago there were some appends to this forum about the Search
scope and Bookmarking features and how they are in the help system
implementation, but not in the info center. I can imagine why they are
difficult to implement for the latter. The last note that I found stated
that adding parallel function for the info center would be considered for
V2.2 -- which is now V3.
Are these still being considered? I couldn't find either item as a bug or
feature request. If we think they are important functions for IC, should
we open a feature request?
re: V3 requirements in general:
Does the "Targeted for Release 3.0" link on the "Help Component Development
Resources" page (a very useful page!) bring up all of the current 3.0
requirements in plan or under consideration or are some ideas listed
elsewhere? (see

Are there plans for a 2.1.2 release that would resolve some of the minor
bugs and feature requests coming out of 2.1 or 2.1.1?
