Re: [platform-help-dev] minimal set of plugins

In general, fragments for a certain platform contain the platform name in
the plugin directory.
You would have to look inside the plugins directory and when selecting one
of the base plugins check if plugin.<platform> is also there and select it
as well. In general <platform> is motif,win32,gtk, etc.

Theoretically, I don't think there is anything to lose, but more to gain.
Practically, you will have to be responsible for re-packing the plugins, as
there is no current eclipse infocenter driver built with the minimal set of
plugins.

Hi,
What does one loose in terms of functionality if the infocenter runs with
the list of minimal set of plugins that are listed in the install
instructions. The list of plugins listed in the install instructions are
org.apache.lucene
org.apache.xerces
org.eclipse.core.boot
org.eclipse.core.resources
org.eclipse.core.runtime
org.eclipse.help
org.eclipse.help.appserver
org.eclipse.help.webapp
org.eclipse.tomcat
org.eclipse.update.core

and additional platform specific ones,

What purpose do the rest of the plugins serve,

Thanks,
Shikha
