I certainly agree the table of contents
in the PDF is completely broken, but I have no idea how this is generated.
 I suggest at least entering a bug report under platform-doc until
we can track down the cause.

Just checked the PDF for the Platform ISV doc available
at:

http://eclipse.org/documentation/main.html

and noticed that the generated PDF document does not preserve the same
structure as in the online doc. Topics that were originally nested
appear completely unrelated, unrelated topics appear as nested, text
topics appear in the middle of reference topics, and so on. In other
words, is very confusing and hardly useful.

Is this known? What tools are used for generating the PDFs? Does the
process take into account the topic structure?
