"plugin" is also a technical term, but we've been very careful to hyphenate that. We also use "file system" instead of the technical term filesystem.  I think we've generally kept the doc in line with the English language, so I'd be inclined to go with "sub-target" and "build file".  However, since we're an hour away from the final build, I'd be inclined to go with whatever is currently released (i.e., it's not that critical at this point).

In this case, it's a technical term akin to "buildfile".
