Do I get it right that for users of Java 9+, everything would be fine?

If so, do you think it's acceptable for most users of GEF4 to be "forced" to switch to Java 9 in a recent future (ie when Platform 4.9 or 4.10 releases, in a few months) if they want to update to newer Platform?
