True, we could use approach (3) with (1) & (2).

One approach for associating a launch config with a resource, would be to have a common *optional* launch config attribute such as RESOURCE or PROJECT, defined in the debug core. The attribute could be used by any configs that need the attribute, and could also be used by the debug UI to help filter launch configs.

Instead of getting rid of the working set idea, I'd prefer the "Customize"
button to allow me to choose from working sets, config types, or what have
you.
