Basically I just asked the same question that Artyom asked. The response was that if I wanted to investigate it I could download the test suites and set up a machine and do the evaluation myself but I don't have the time or resources to do that.

I recall the Ed Burnette was proposing to compare compressed and uncompressed JARs. I don't recall seeing any results.
