The timely release of Ant 1.6.2 and about a week of it being used by the
community with no reports of any major regressions / issues

Of course you can set Eclipse to pretty much use any Ant you want by
specifying the correct Ant home in the Ant preferences or for a particular
Ant launch configuration.
You should start using Eclipse with Ant 1.6.2 betas now so that you can help
find any problems before the release.
