Re: [photran] 'fortran local application' run configuration not available

If that doesn't work, try emailing webmaster@xxxxxxxxxxx.

Thank you.  Maybe I’m being impatient as I did that some time ago (hours).  I’ll wait a day or so and see if the new address takes.

This distribution uses my old e-mail address.  Please could someone point me to the location at which I can submit the change.  The address below (https://dev.eclipse.org/mailman/listinfo/photran) does not appear to offer that option.

Hi Richard,

I'm not sure what happened to it. I just tried Eclipse Photon with Photran and can see "Local Fortran Application" from the context menu when you right click on the project and select Run As. I can also see it from the Run>Run As menu, but it doesn't show up when I open the Run Configuration or Debug Configuration pages. I'll dig in a bit deeper.

having not used eclipse / photran for a while (previously using eclipse kepler / photran 8.1.3), checking through old notes, it seems we were setting up the project using the 'fortran local application' run configuration:

Select 'Run->Run Configurations...', then select 'Fortran Local Application',

testing with current eclipse / photran (eclipse oxygen / photran 9.1.4), it seems this option is no longer available.

it is still possible to to 'run as' / 'debug as' > 'fortran local application'.

i have tested on linux and windows, and also tested with eclipse neon, and eclipse photon, and see the same behaviour.

using the 'c/c++ local application' run configuration seems to work just fine. is that the recommended practice with current version of eclipse / photran?

thanks for your help,

richard
