Re: [photran] Active Synchronized configuration Tool Bar Item

OK, I was able to hide directories inserting a filter in project Properties/Resources. However I have not found a way to disable filters without removing them, like what I can do in the Project Explorer/Customize view.

Hi, I reopened bug 420982.

Concerning the Project Explorer, the only thing that prevents me to use it instead of the Fortran View is the possibility of setting custom filters. Is it possible to do it in Project Explorer? I have a series of subdirectories in my project that I want to hide.

Cheers,
Gianluca

Hi

Regarding the Tool Bar Item, both the double arrow and drop-down are disabled unless a
synchronized project is selected in Project Explorer. This is by design, because it is a project-
level operation.

It can be a bit confusing, though, because it is also disabled if you click somewhere other than
Explorer, even though the project is still highlighted.

If you are seeing cases where the double arrow is enabled but the drop-down is not, then I would
recommend opening a new bug.

Regarding bug 420982, does the menu work if you click on the project before right-clicking? This
may be another issue where the project is not "selected" and so some sync functions are disabled.
This does sound like bug 420982, so I would recommend reopening it.

Hi,
I noticed that if I first left-click on the project in the Project Explorer View, then the drop-down menu of the Tool Bar Item for Synchronizing works.
On the contrary, if I left-click on the Fortran projects view, the drop-down menu of the Tool Bar Item does not work.

Hi,
on a clean installation of Eclipse Mars for Parallel developers, if I create a Fortran Synchronized project, the Tool Bar Item for Synchronizing the selected project does not work for me (Ubuntu 14.04). Specifically, the drop-down menu is inactive. If I press the double arrow button, I only get a synchronization of the active configuration, but I cannot change it.

Also, for me bug 420982 is still active, since the Synchronize menu item in the Fortran projects view does not work.

Is there anything I am missing or should I reopen bugs 420982 and 408041 ?

Hi

Yes, this has already been done and added to the master branch. See bug 408041.

Hi,
is it possible to create a Tool Bar Item for the Active synchronized configuration, like the Active build configuration item? This would be very handy.

Cheers,
