That's strange.  I remember specifically testing this, to make sure it worked.
What platform are you using?

I’m using Linux 64-bit.

Have you installed other features besides the parallel package?

Yes, the Perforce plugin and the Intel CDT integration.

I'm assuming from what you attached (thanks) you had parallel package SR1 from Sept. and just did Help > check for updates.

That’s correct.

One workaround would be to just install the new version. (Note you can have several different eclipse installations on your computer, no problem, just put them under different directories.)
Close the old version. Bring up the new one on your existing workspace.

I’ve just done this and can open the existing workspace but I’ve lost all the application level preferences. Where are those stored on Linux?

But I would like to figure this out.

Hi,

I tried to update to SR2 but got this message:

Cannot complete the install because of a conflicting dependency.
Software being installed: Eclipse IDE for Parallel Application Developers 1.4.2.20120213-0814 (epp.package.parallel 1.4.2.20120213-0814)
Software currently installed: Shared profile 1.0.0.1316141849676 (SharedProfile_epp.package.parallel 1.0.0.1316141849676)
Only one of the following can be installed at once:
Eclipse IDE for Parallel Application Developers 1.4.1.20110911-0506 (epp.package.parallel 1.4.1.20110911-0506)
Eclipse IDE for Parallel Application Developers 1.4.2.20120213-0814 (epp.package.parallel 1.4.2.20120213-0814)
  Cannot satisfy dependency:

    To: epp.package.parallel [1.4.1.20110911-0506]

Anyone know how I can fix this?

Thanks,
Lee

[photran] Parallel Package update as part of Indigo SR2 is Available!

The "Eclipse IDE for Parallel Application Developers" SR2 update is now available as part of Eclipse Indigo's SR2 (Service Release 2) today.

This contains the 5.0.5 update to PTP and Photran 7.0.5, but also much more. The C/C++ Development Tools (CDT), the Linux Tools we include,
the Eclipse Platform, etc. are all updated as well to SR2 levels.

To get your copy, you can either:
(1) Update your existing copy with Help >Check for Updates, or
(2) Download a fresh copy from
http://eclipse.org/downloads

Much thanks to the committers and contributors who have fixed hundreds of
bugs to improve the Indigo Release.

The new bits are now available from "updates", the URL should be "built in"
to previous Indigo Installs, though the exact way "update" works depends a
bit on what you installed to begin with.

http://download.eclipse.org/releases/indigo/

For anyone wanting to "start fresh", the EPP download packages will be
available soon, if not already, from

http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/

System downloads already seems a bit slow ... so, be patient, or wait a few
days,  I suspect many were "waiting" to get the updates as soon as they
were ready,

Greatest thanks, again. Yet another successful, on-time coordinated release
from the Eclipse Foundation -- all thanks to you!
