The question "when is the first Photran release?" should probably be
"When is the first official Photran release" or something like that.
There have been beta releases for years.  None of these have gone
through the Eclipse review process, so they do not count as official
Eclipse releases, but the fact that lots of people are using Photran
is proof that there has been some sort of release.
