Greetings,
I have just started using Photran, and with the help of FortranTools, all''s working well ... except:  File reads and writes seem very very slow, about a minute for a small (<100K) Fortran source code file.  When this is happening the Windows performance monitor shows that javaw.exe uses up to 150K of memory (we have the -vmargs -Xmx512M switch set; also tried -Xms128M to no effect).  But the startling thing is that between 50% and 80% of cpu time on a 2GHz PC running XP-SP2 is used during reads and writes!  I wonder whether you have encountered this problem with Photran (3.0.0), and if so, whether you can share a cure?  Thanks in advance for any wisdom, --Mike
