All,
I have updated on the wiki page the requirements
for the EPIC modernization. This is what we are going to use for the 1.0
version of the new EPIC.
As was discussed in this bug, we are
looking to rename EPIC to something that is more inclusive to the entire Eclipse
ecosystem. The current proposal is to change the name to Eclipse
Marketplace. If people have comments or feedback please let me know.
Thanks
Ian

Call for Requirements for a new andmodernizeEPIC
All,
I have updated the list
of requirements on the wiki
page for the EPIC rewrite effort. Our intention is to finalize the
list of requirements by the end of March.
Please let us know your
opinions before that date.

Subject: [phoenix-epic-dev] Call
for Requirements for a new and modernizeEPIC
All,
One of the major projects we are
undertaking in 2009 is to do a complete rewrite of EPIC. The key thing is
to move it to a new CMS and off of PostPuke. However, I would also like to
include any new features and requirements to make EPIC a more useful resource.
Nathan and I have started a wiki page to document
the requirements. The goal is to finalize and prioritize the requirements
by the end of March. I’d like to invite everyone to suggest
requirements and ideas for a new EPIC. I have opened this bug to
hopefully make the process easier.
Thanks
Ian
