I've committed code that allows you to specify an RSS feed for your page, allowing you to override the default RSS feed for the site.  Doing so will substitute the URL for the RSS icon in the Phoenix header, and it will also add a <link rel="alternate"> in the page, enabling the Firefox/MSIE "subscribe to page" feature.

As per bug 202825, the above method should be the standard method for declaring the availability of a page-specific RSS feed.
