RE: [phoenix-dev] WYSIWYG w/ FrontPage and the Phoenix website

I hear Wayner has some hacks that help with WYSIWYG in eclipse...

That's ok, FrontPage is a pretty poor editor anyway. Didn't somebody do an HTMLAREA based editor that works with WTP?

WYSIWYG is overrated :). It's usually WYSINWYW (what you see is not what you want) or WYSINWAES (... is not what anybody else sees). Anybody remember "SCRIPT"?

Subject: [phoenix-dev] WYSIWYG w/ FrontPage and the Phoenix website

I volunteered to provide instructions on how to do WYSIWYG development with the Phoenix PHP pages and FrontPage. I find it relatively easy for me, but when I've tried to write it up for others, I discovered that I was doing all sorts of little hacks and edits and fixing FrontPage's corruptions of the PHP. That would even be ok, I guess, except that I couldn't get a consistent set of rules for what I do. Hence I must admit defeat - I cannot figure out how to do WYSIWYG with Phoenix and FrontPage without knowing more than most people want to know about PHP.

Sorry,
Bjorn
