[pdt-dev] File Name contains illegal characters

I've been running 0.7 since release and finally upgraded to V1.  I'm extremely happy with it, except for the following.

I can only have one period in the file name.  Can someone explain why?  I generally use multiple periods to help describe the file for other developers (
e.g  list.all.users.tpl.php) -  I know I can change it to use another delimiter, but files are included via our framework and I do not intend to modify it.

Any ideas where I can override this?
