Re: [pde-dev] Updating / reloading p2 content used in a target platform definition file

The only reliable option is indeed a restart.

See https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=442858 and the gerrit.

Subject: [pde-dev] Updating / reloading p2 content used in a target platform definition file

Hi,

I'm currently using a command line tool to build a p2 update site which is used in a target definition file.

Does PDE have the option to reload the p2 update site used in the target definition file?

I tried:

* Closing / opening the target file
* removing the p2 update site from the target and adding it again
* Pressing reload
* Deactivating / activating

But none of these methods seem to reliable reload the p2 data.

The only working way I found is to restart Eclipse.

Is there a faster way to reload an updated p2 update site in a target file?

Best regards, Lars
