[pde-dev] extend standard console and task view

Dear listmembers,

can anybody help me with the following task? I want my plugin to extend the
standard console and task view in the following way.

- add an botton to the console view which opens some custom dialog windows
- add entries into the standard task view of type "info" or even better own
type "reminder" whenever I want

If anyone has examples or URL which may point me into the right direction, I
would highly appreciate your support.
