There is no implementation of this JSR
in eclipse in 3.2. The support referred to here is a tool to be run over
an existing update site to pack the jars.
It is not integrated into pde build.
It is a separate util.
Otherwise I think Philippe Ombredanne
is working on an implementation of this JSR.
Also note that pack200 is not a runtime
format, so it won't "reduce the size of eclipse" on disk or in
memory.

Hi,

I seem to recall someone (Jeff) saying that JSR compression would be included in 3.2 as part of PDE - but I am not sure if this is accurate or not.  It was at a BOF - it was late - it might be wishful thinking.

Careful perusal of eclpse.org has not enlightened me as yet (Maybe it wasn't that careful, maybe it was 10 minutes of perusal).  A minor complaint, but I have a lot harder time finding things in the new website format than at the old one.
