As it is today, Maven 2 cannot support
the sort of things that we need to do.  However, we are in active
discussion with the M2 folks in the area of building OSGi bundles.  Once
that is sorted out we can look again at what it would take to build serious
amounts of Eclipse with Maven.  I would not hold your breath for PDE
Build to switch over.

There was some small discussion during August about getting the PDE 
build system working with Maven. Does anyone know if there are any 
developments in this regard?
