Re: [paho-dev] Moving Paho repositories to Github

Well the reason I suspect it can't be moved is the eclipse system auto generates the site from the repo whenever we push to it - so it would be whether they are setup to have that sort of integration with a github hosted repo.

To be honest, I don't think it matters - there's little reason to move the website over other than to have everything in one place, but we can cope with it staying where it is.

I don't know - it wasn't top on my list of priorities to ask about the website repo...  do you care?

I presume the website repo has to stay where it is and cannot be migrated?

To help minimize the work for the Eclipse webmaster in Paho migration to Github, I propose to move the repositories in stages. 5 this month, then another 5 in January, assuming the transition goes smoothly.  I'm thinking we could start with:

- Java
- embedded C
- m2mqtt
- _javascript_
- Python

this month.  Does anyone (particularly Paolo or Roger), have another wish or suggestion?

Thanks

Hi All,

after the positive reaction I received to the suggestion, I've made the request to have Paho repositories moved to Github (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=483499).

I'll keep you all up to date as to when it's going to happen.
