I've just merged Christoph's updates, so that should be fixed now.  Thanks again Christoph.

This is exactly what I hoped would happen: the model broker's code would be scrutinized by many people and gradually fixed up so that it will become a perfect (I can dream!) base for generating MQTT tests.   A part of that is keeping the code as simple as we can, while implementing the complete standard.

I spottet that username/password flag problem too.
The fix is part of the commit I pushed to gerrit.
