Re: [paho-dev] Using GitHub for Paho components

I'm a +1 for moving to Github - BUT I also understand the review capabilities on Gerrit are bonus. So I think a choice of options is a good idea.

Some people (like Al) prefer the reviewing capabilities of gerrit. So I was going to give the component owner a choice, at least to start with.

Also, on a longer term, it would certainly make sense to migrate all the
Paho projects to Github for the sake of consistency, when/if you guys
start feeling comfortable with it.

Cool.  Sounds good.  Some of my responses to Nick now need revising :-)

Hi Ian,

We've had that discussion separately too, and I didn¹t come back to you
in
time :) I agree this would certainly encourage contributions.

- Could we have some Paho git repos at Eclipse and some on github?
Yes, absolutely.

- Would a github hosted component be able to use the github issue
tracker rather than bugzilla?  That is, could a github hosted component
of Paho work in an entirely github way?
Yup, but I would suggest that maybe you keep having Bugzilla components
too for these projects, to make it easier for people used to Bugzilla..?
