Ian,
I have this that seems to work (attached).
As you'll see, I moved all common socket support functions to a new file
(lowlevel), so samples are more clear (to me).
I added new samples to show specific parts.
I'll be probably adding more samples later, please take a look at this
and give a thumbs up or whatever. I have some other work to finish
before I can continue with this later on, which has a lower priority.
