Just to add to what Benjamin said, we have a big refresh of the paho website on its way in the next week or so that should make it easier to find this sort of thing out.

Fortunately, Paho uses Gerrit, so you can submit a patch set there directly!
The branch URL to push your change set to is https://git.eclipse.org/r/paho/org.eclipse.paho.mqtt.python
