I don't think we have a page for this. If we do it is likely outdated. I think it would be good to have a page for Equinox in general and then specific sections for p2 if required.
Perhaps we should start a page at http://wiki.eclipse.org/Equinox/Contributors_Guide

Hi all,
Is there a guide/wiki page/blog/… about how to contribute to the p2 project? I wasn’t able to find anything – in particularly http://wiki.eclipse.org/Equinox/p2#p2_Developer_Resources doesn’t seem to have anything useful.
Potential contributors may need help with
· Finding the right target file – BTW, why are there even multiple target files in the releng project?
· Setting up the API baseline
… so it would be worth to have such a page.
