Thanks for the offer.
However I don't think you need a build from us and could just compose the p2 you want, include the appropriate ECF bundles for httpclient 4 and you will be set.
Let me know if it is not the case.

I've added to the ECF codebase a new filetransfer provider based upon Apache httpclient4 (httpcomponents).   

This could possibly be used in future versions of p2/Equinox...but it will *not* be in the Juno release. 

See this comment/bug for further details/info [1].  I would request some help from other p2 committers/community in testing for regression this new provider under various proxy conditions, as I don't have access to all the various configurations of proxies that people will wish to use.
